Oregon Woman Says Debt Collector Called 911 on Her With Phony Suicide Threat - ABC News

COMMENT: If this is true, Wells Fargo and the employee should be penalized harshly for this type of completely abusive and outrageous conduct. As Wells Fargo is presumably the originator of the debt, the FDCPA would not apply as it only applies to debt collectors. The woman would seemingly be stuck with only state law remedies. Punitive damages would seem appropriate in this type of case.

Many doctors hide the truth about medical errors, study finds - latimes.com

Some things are better left unsaid – and that includes certain aspects of your medical condition, doctors say.

In a nationwide survey of roughly 1,800 physicians, 17% had some level of disagreement with the notion that they should “never tell a patient something that is not true.” Not only that, but 11% of those surveyed acknowledged that they had told a patient “something that was not true” in the past year.

My Comment: Do you agree that political emails are not "spam"? Isn't actual communication different than just trying to get re-elected? Not surprisingly, politicians, on both sides of the aisle, always seem to "exempt" themselves from the limitations they impose on other industries when it comes to these types of issues. At least this is one area where the parties always seem to agree.
