Distracted driving is a national epidemic. It is causing more injuries and deaths every year.
Researchers have found
that different fonts (typefaces) used in a vehicle, such as for the radio
and navigation, can have an impact on driver attention. More specifically,
certain fonts, such as Humanist, can lessen driver distraction than other types
of fonts.
Milliseconds
count when it comes to driver distraction. Vehicle “styling” should always be
secondary to the prevention of crashes, injuries and death. Automakers should
consider the font they use to help prevent driver distraction.
