This is an update to an earlier Lapin Law Offices post: StarTran Bus Driver Fired For Hitting Passenger
Mr. Fischer, who had been scheduled to go to trial on for assault charges related to the bus incident next week, reversed his position. On July 18, 2013, Mr. Fischer pled guilty to a misdemeanor charge of third-degree assault. The charge carries a maximum penalty of not more than one year imprisonment, or $1,000.00 dollar fine, or both. He will be sentenced to on September 18, 2013. His lawyer intends on asking for probation.
