Teen sues classmates for libel over Facebook page - TODAY Tech - TODAY.com
Teen fights cyberbullying by filing libel lawsuit against alleged bullies, who were her classmates, when the school and police said they could not help. This is one of the first reported cases of using a libel suit to stop cyberbullying. If conduct does not occur during school hours there is little most schools can do to stop it. Federal and state laws need to catch up to technology and enact laws to help victims of cyberbullying.

Kaspersky claims Apple is '10 years behind Microsoft' on security | The Verge
COMMENT: Apple way behind Microsoft on security according to Kaspersky Lab's CEO. Is statement self-serving to sell more anti-virus software or accurate?
Recent Flashback Trojan shows OS X is now under attack. Apple may not be as vulnerable to attacks as Microsoft software due to built-in protections in OS X and the App Store but malware authors are creative and will exploit any opening. These attacks will become worse and more prevalent as Apple gains in market share.
Apple and other developers should be more proactive and start working on more anti-virus/ anti-malware solutions before this occurs so Kaspersky's prediction will not come true and OS X users will not be in the same position XP users were 10 years ago.

Debt Collectors Take Places Alongside Hospital Staffs - NYTimes.com
COMMENT: Outrageous and unlawful debt collector allegedly working in ER and sometimes demanding patients pay up before they receive any further medical attention. This clearly violates a patient's rights in many different ways. If allegations are true, debt collector should be severely punished. The hospital should also be punished if they were aware of the alleged conduct and did not stop it from occurring. Worse if they participated.

India becomes the king of the spammers, stealing America?s crown | Naked Security
SUMMARY AND COMMENT: India is now "king of the spammers" overtaking the crown (barely) from the United States.
It is important to note that vast majority of spam comes from home computers that have been compromised. Users should also be that aware that a lot of these spam messages contain malware or are phishing attempts to obtain your personal information (username, passwords, other information). All computers should have anti-virus and other security software installed and regularly updated. Also be careful opening any suspicious email. Remember if something seems too good to be true it probably is.
